Нет, вот как раз фонарик - не проще. Это то самое, в чём мы упрекаем писателей-фонтанов: непонимание сути вопроса. Резкий контраст освещения, фонарик в ночных горах скорее вреден, чем полезен. Не проще, совсем нет. Часто опаснее.
